If your baby has trouble with shallow latching, long feeding sessions, or slow weight gain, a tongue-tie might be the reason. I provide a thorough clinical evaluation for tongue and lip ties, and when needed, perform gentle, expert tongue-tie division (frenotomy).

Ans: Yes! You can breastfeed a baby that you’re birthing via surrogacy or that you’re adopting.
Is induced lactation possible for someone with diabetes and high blood pressure?
Ans: Yes! Based on your full medical history, I’ll be giving you the right induced lactation plan.
Is induced lactation safe for someone with high prolactin levels or fibroids?
Ans: Yes! There are different ways to induce lactation, I create the plan for you based on your medical history and considering your health.
How long can expressed breast milk be stored at room temperature?
Ans: Three hours.
My baby always has a runny nose. What might be the cause?
Ans: It could be due to the environment your baby is always in, their immunity, or changes in temperature and humidity.
I’m experiencing pain in my nipples when my baby is sucking and pumping. What could be the cause?
Ans: If you’re experiencing the pain during pumping, it is likely due to an incorrect flange size and nipple brush, but if you’re experiencing the pain whenever your baby is sucking, it is most likely due to an incorrect latch
I can’t breastfeed because my nipples are inverted. Is there a solution?
Ans: Yes! It is very possible to breastfeed with an inverted nipple. You’ll need a consultation to be able to identify the grade of your nipple inversion and then know the plan for you to breastfeed.
My areola area is hard and painful, and I can’t breastfeed with that side of my breast. What can I do?
Ans: This is probably a clogged ducts and you’ll need to empty it to prevent it from becoming infected and your symptoms worsening. Take paracetamol or ibuprofen, massage the area, and try to get your baby to nurse or express it. If this is not working, you’ll seek expert help or you book a consultation.
Can I breastfeed my baby while lying down?
Ans: Yes, you can.
I’m expecting babies through surrogacy. How can I produce breast milk to breastfeed my babies?
Ans: You’ll need to book an induced lactation consultation with Dr. Chinny to be able to help you start producing breastmilk for your baby.
